New Sign Installed at Project GreenShores

Staff from the Northwest Florida Aquatic Preserves region coordinated with Florida Department of Transportation, the City of Pensacola, and Wildlife Graphics to install a new informational sign at Project GreenShores Site 2, highlighting the living shoreline project. The sign was funded through the Deepwater Horizon Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) grant fulfilling the deliverable to develop, produce, and install project signage. Last year, three signs were installed on different islands informing boaters and kayakers about the restoration project and encouraging pedestrians to please stay off the grass. This new pedestal sign lets people walking on the sidewalk along Bayfront Parkway know more about the living shoreline project, partners, and various wildlife that can be found here.
