Coral Reef Conservation Program Featured in University of Miami Career Panel

Taylor Tucker, Assistant Manager and Resilience Coordinator of the Coral Reef Conservation Program (CRCP), recently visited the University of Miami (UM) Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Sciences (RSMAS) to participate in a career panel for undergraduate marine science students. The panel also featured representatives from UM’s Miami Community ResilientSea project, Frost Science Museum, Miami Waterkeeper, Field School and Debris Free Oceans. During the event, she shared insights into her academic background, early career roles and current position with DEP. She also offered advice for students interested in pursuing careers in marine biology. After the panel, Taylor toured several of UM’s coral reef research labs, including one featuring a robotic arm used in coral toxicology studies.
