Each of the aquatic preserves within Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserves offers a memorable experience visiting protected submerged state lands. Visit any of the five managed aquatic preserves within Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserves and you will see healthy mangrove shorelines, seagrass beds and oyster bars. Southwest Florida’s subtropical climate is home to a variety of animals as well, in addition to migrating birds. Although the areas are all connected by water, each offers unique vistas, worthy of continued conservation efforts for the enjoyment of future generations.

A visit to Cape Haze Aquatic Preserve is worth every minute. Just be sure to use your boat’s GPS to navigate the shallow waters and do your part in protecting Florida’s exquisite natural landscape. Cape Haze Aquatic Preserve is the sole aquatic preserve in the Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserves system that is only accessible by vessel, which offers a uniquely enchanting experience, much like traveling back to old Florida. Come and be fascinated by extensive, shallow seagrass beds, the occasional oyster bar and evidence of the generations of humans who have lived and fished on the waters of Cape Haze before you. When you look around the Cape Haze shoreline, often you’ll only see mangrove shoreline. Come and be immersed in all nature has to offer.
