Message From The Manager
The 5.7 miles of Rainbow Springs Aquatic Preserve offers spectacular crystal-clear spring water, thick and diverse vegetation below the water's surface and fish, turtles and otters, oh my! Visitors can enjoy the Rainbow River via motorboat, kayak, canoe or tubing, but may I recommend an elevated view atop a stand-up paddleboard! That'll give you the best seat in the house to see what's going on above and below the beautiful 72-degree spring water. Be sure to check out where the turquoise waters of the Rainbow River meet the dark, tannic waters of the Withlacoochee River; it's quite the sight to see. Recreate responsibly by packing out what you packed in, not standing on or tying up to the vegetation, raising your engine in shallow areas to avoid damaging the submerged aquatic vegetation and being aware of your surroundings at all times so everyone can enjoy what Rainbow Springs Aquatic Preserve has to offer.
Sincerely,
Trisha Green
