Springs Quest

Joe Tallant co-led our second Springs Quest at Rainbow Springs Aquatic Preserve with Marion County’s Water Resources Extension Agents, Rainbow Springs State Park, Southwest Florida Water Management District and Florida-Friendly Landscaping. Springs Quest is an education opportunity where participants spend the day with local biologists learning about springs conservation and restoration. The morning starts with speed presentations followed with a guided hike by a park ranger, lunch, Q&A and a scavenger hunt on a guided boat ride on the Rainbow River. Ranger Matt found historic audio and visuals to take the participants back in time when the state park was an amusement park.
